Your Floor Is Working Every Hour You Are Open
A restaurant floor takes hundreds of shoes, mops, and spills a day. A retail floor takes shopping carts and stroller wheels. An office lobby takes the weather in on every shoe from November to March. Tile grout traps all of it — grease in the grout lines, salt ground into the pores. Carpet just gives up. A seamless epoxy floor gives mess nowhere to hide: one smooth surface, mopped clean at closing, ready for morning.
What Businesses Ask For Most
Restaurants want grease resistance and a floor the health inspector likes — seamless means no grout lines harboring bacteria. Retail wants a look that matches the brand and a surface that survives carts and crowds. Offices want quiet professionalism and easy maintenance. Auto shops and salons want chemical resistance — hair dye, brake fluid, and cleaning chemicals wipe off instead of staining. We match the system to the traffic, not the other way around.
Downtime Is the Real Cost
Here is what business owners actually worry about: how long am I closed? A standard epoxy system needs a few days of cure time, which we usually schedule over a weekend or in phases — half the floor at a time, so you keep operating. When even that is too much, a fast-cure polyaspartic system can have you back on the floor the next day. We plan the schedule around your hours, including overnight work when the job demands it.
Safety and Compliance Details
Commercial floors have to be safe, not just pretty. Kitchens and entries get anti-slip texture that meets the grip your insurer wants to see. We can add safety striping, walkway markings, and color-coded zones — the yellow lane lines in a warehouse, the slip-resistant entry at a restaurant. Light-colored systems brighten dim stockrooms and kitchens, which your staff will thank you for.
What a Commercial Floor Costs
Square footage, system thickness, and scheduling drive commercial pricing. A thin-coat refresh of a sound floor costs far less than a full build-up with moisture mitigation on a damaged slab. Night and weekend scheduling can add to labor. Every project is different — contact us for a free written estimate. We will walk your space, understand your hours, and price the job in writing with a schedule attached.
Our Process, Step by Step
- Site walk. We visit during or after your hours, see the traffic patterns, and identify problem areas — the greasy corner by the fryer, the worn lane at the entrance.
- Schedule planning. We build the install around your business: phased sections, overnight shifts, or weekend blitzes. You approve the plan before we start.
- Prep. Diamond grinding or shot blasting, degreasing, crack repair, moisture testing. Commercial slabs are often contaminated — we treat them until they are clean.
- System install. Base coats, texture or flake, striping and markings, then topcoat. Each layer cures on schedule before the next goes down.
- Handoff and care sheet. We walk the floor with you, hand over cleaning instructions your staff can actually follow, and set expectations for topcoat refresh down the road.
After We Leave
Daily dust-mopping and damp-mopping with a neutral cleaner keeps a commercial floor sharp. Heavy-traffic zones will eventually dull the topcoat — a refresh coat every few years costs a fraction of a full redo and keeps the floor looking new. We will tell you honestly when it is time.
Built for Business Hours
Commercial floors cannot shut you down for a week. We phase the work so your business keeps running: half the floor one night, half the next, or weekends only for retail. Fast-cure systems can take foot traffic in 24 hours and full loads in 72.
The specification depends on the abuse. A restaurant kitchen needs chemical resistance against grease and hot water. An auto shop needs impact resistance for dropped tools. A warehouse needs abrasion resistance for forklifts. We match the resin system to the actual traffic, not a generic spec.
Documentation comes with every commercial job: surface prep logs, product data sheets, and cure schedules. Your facilities file gets everything an inspector or insurer might ask for.
We also stripe and mark. Safety walkways, forklift lanes, and equipment zones go down as part of the job, in OSHA colors that stay bright for years.
Most commercial projects finish in phases across nights or weekends. Your doors stay open and your staff keeps working while we coat one section at a time.
